Kiwi (and Kerri) Loco

It's 1:30 AM (for the 4th night in a row) and there are just 2 minutes before that one load of laundry can go into the dryer and I'm SO going to bed, but while I'm waiting, I thought I'd post the SERIOUS culprit of the
missing posts, molding dishes, mile-high laundry piles, bloodshot eyes, empty zantac & prilosec packages, leather-worn hands, a collection of Sonic cups, trailing thoughts and incomplete sentences....

...it's always a crazy good time at Kiwi Loco.
for crazy good yogurt, look no further.

and "the baby" turns four.

Our "baby" turned four back at the first of (a'hem) March.
(Thanks, blogger, for allowing the retro-posting of certain posts that need to fit in on a certain spot on the timeline.)

The entire month of March was dedicated significantly to our other baby.  Our lil' Kiwi Loco project.

Kyle got his first real bike and had the help of all the sibs learning to ride it.

We then meandered over to dinner where he was the center of attention for a good portion of the rest of the night.

Sadly, the extent of his designer cake was found on the dessert counter at Golden Corral.  At least I remembered the candle, eh?
The best gifts are pre-made, glued together legos from Grandmas. Here he is thanking her for it, on the phone.

There's no one quite like our Kyle.  And we love it.

We have the most agreeable children and they're thankful to just spend the time together, even if it's in an unfinished commercial space and a local family-friendly buffet.

a birthday, a bummer and a bargain...

Funny. On my oldest child's fourth birthday I was ready to send him to boot camp. (For real.) And on this, the fourth birthday of my "baby," I carried him to bed in my arms like an infant. It's also startling to think...that when said oldest child turned four I had TWO children younger than him.

We'll celebrate the rest of Kyle's birthday throughout the week as we have time (so sad) and when everyone (including our dad) is back in town. He informed us all before prayer tonight that he could sing us the song if we wanted him to. So, we got it on tape.

We spent a portion of the evening in support of the Tatersalad during his city league championship basketball game. It was a nail-biter, and resulted in a 27-20 loss, but was well-fought. Alas, though..we all need a little defeat now and then to keep us grounded, I always say.

Tate anticipates the path of his opponent with such finesse and brut strength, such grace. I think he accepted one of his 7 "with the reach" fouls just moments after this was taken.

The best part of Kyle's birthday, was (hands down) the 12 packages of fruit snacks I got for 10¢ each and the juice they paid me to take.
I'm SO coupon-back.
(thanks to my sister who's passing along the deal specs in exchange for free photography.)
(p.s. Annie and formerly-owned deep freezer - I miss you both.)

(I may or may not have attempted to photoshop the slime seeping from my freezer door in this picture before giving up the attempt with a pseudo-explicative.)

And so... I now go to re-discover the floor of my closet before my husband returns from his weary Norwester-Adventures at Pike Place Market (where they throw the fish) with his O-Max colleagues. Oh, and... I think they were doing work stuff too.

  • Happy birthday Kyle.
  • Congrats on a well-fought game Tate.
  • Bret, if you ask me if you can go skiing over spring break again, I'm liable to vomit.
  • Girls - I don't think a lady is supposed to eat her Albertson's fried chicken like that.
    and
  • Doug - please come home soon. It's getting ugly w/o you.

drumroll....

We hung this sign in the window of the "shop" on Monday.
So I guess it's official and stuff...

Coming to Twin Falls, ID (Villa Shops across from Gold's Gym)

end of March-ish... YAY!

"wha???" you say? Yeah! We're opening a self-serve frozen yogurt shop.
"Why???" you ask? We thought it sounded like fun.
I guess we'll see....
