A derby. Done.

It's that time again...

And last night's Pinewood Derby was a nail-biter.

There were some pretty impressive entries.

Ours were not the fastest (by a long shot) but were fun to make.
"Killer" and Tate's Pick-up truck stayed behind the pack most of the time to make sure any trolls that fell off got a ride to the finish line.

Thankfully, amidst defeat, my boys were graceful in their losing, and clearly
still having a good time.

With 23 cars in a double-elimination tournament, you can imagine we were there for a while.

There were plenty of animated fans, astonished at some of the results.

But to be honest, by the end, a lot of us shared the obvious sentiments of this tired-out fan.

It got pretty heated there at the end as to who would claim victory.

After all...look at what was at stake!

Some of us couldn't wait for the treats.

But when that time FINALLY arrived, we were more than willing to consume these.

And so ...until we meet again, crowded around this same sturdy track, we'll be researching ideas on how to create faster cars.

It was a long night wasn't it? Your pictures sum up the night quite well. I do have to say that the one of braden is the best, but I might be biased on that. Thanks for being a great friend and helping me with my camera
