Bret: "Yeah. I knew you would need it, and since I was going to lock the door, I knew I better get it for you, becuase I'd be in the midst of taking a shower."

Wow, i'm 20 years older than Bret and i don't think i've ever used the phrase "in the midst". LOL.
"In the midst"...isn't it Bret who was perched upon the side of the tub, waiting to "hop in the bath"?
yeah, it was "jump into the shower." but yes, he is the poet "in our midst" so-to-speak.
